About the Company
Based in Maidenhead in Berkshire, Exceptional-AV.co.uk is part of Now Group UK Ltd, which also owns www.Nav-Now.co.uk, motorsport marketing company Motorsport Now and manufactures the AlcoSense range of breathalysers.
Formed in 1999 by Hunter Abbott at the tender age of 18, Now Group UK Ltd started life as Hunter Abbott Racing, looking after motorsport sponsorship for Hunter's career as a racing driver.
The company developed and in 2001 was renamed to represent it's diversification into other areas of business.
Shortly after, Now Group UK created Nav Now, specialising in the mail order retail of in-car technology. Nav Now has now risen to become one of the UK's major players in the in-car GPS market place, differentiating itself from competition with it's level of service and highly knowledgeable staff.
As a result of the continuing development of the company, Now Group UK Ltd was nominated for four business awards in the RBWM Business Excellence Awards. Namely Small Business of the Year, Customer Service Excellence and Hunter Abbott, the company's Managing Director, was nominated as Business Personality of the Year and Young Business Person of the Year. Now Group UK Ltd made it to the final for three separate awards and Hunter was named the 2005 Young Business Person of the Year and was runner up as 2006 Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
In 2007 Now Group UK Ltd diversified in to home theatre equipment, using the successfull business model developed by Nav Now. After careful consideration Hunter chose to specialise in the up and coming Onkyo brand of equipment, starting this site, www.exceptional-av.co.uk.
