If you’re looking for big sound from a small footprint you’ve found the answer. The GenevaSound Model S (for small) is a 30 Watt iPod dock, radio, alarm clock and 3.5mm input for an external source. This may seem like a brief specification but what it lacks in features it more than makes up for in mastering it’s chosen fields. If you’re looking for a small system with plenty of guts with high quality sound then this is the chap.

Large sound – small box

Instead of using two separate speaker boxes plus an amplifier the GenvaSound Model S is an all in one system which utilises two of the latest wide dispersion speakers meaning that instead of having just one ‘sweet spot’ in the room you get a system which fills the room with burly, well defined HiFi sound. If you fancy partying it’s got the guts to go loud and proud without distortion and giving the bass punch of a much larger system.

iPod Trap Door

Even James Bond’s Q would be proud of the self retracting iPod dock built into the top of the Model S. When you switch to iPod mode Model S releases its dock and a small section of the top automatically rotates round like a secret room behind a bookcase to reveal a machined aluminium dock. When you remove your iPod after changing modes the secret dock rotates back round sealing the unit flush  giving uninterrupted finish on the top. Wonderful.

Touch Controls and Remote Control

The Model S uses a touch sensitive, illuminated control mechanism which mimics iPod’s click-wheel, see below. The unit also comes with an infra-red remote control which we found will quite happily work up to 20ft away and gives you control over volume, source, treble, bass and selecting the radio stations. All of which can also be controlled from the touch-pad as well.|

Optional Stands

The GenevaSound Model S comes with an optional stand, shown below which can be attached to the bottom of the unit to lift it up by 10cm. If you chose not to use this stand it comes with polished steel and rubber feet.
