The new Yamaha A-S300 integrated amplifier would make a great amp for a starter hifi system or a secondary room. Small on price but big on features and build quality, the Yamaha AS300 boasts a power output of 2 x 60W RMS which will confidently drive bookshelf and floorstanding speakers in a normal domestic environment to high levels.

Yamaha engineers have given the AS300 UK tuning - a UK panel of experienced listeners were able to listen to the AS300 prior to production to fine tune the sound to the likes of the UK market - you will be amazed when you hear the results.

Short signal paths ensure noise is minimised, if you do not need to use the tone controls they can be defeated with a Pure Direct button for best sound quality. Two sets of speakers may be connected and switched, ideal for a second pair of speakers in another room.

The mechanical anti-resonance centre bar in the enclosure strengthens and prevents the sound in the room viabrating the critical internal components, ensuring the cleanest reproduction for an amplifier in it's class.

An Yamaha iPod dock connector on the rear allows all of the Yamaha iPod docks to work flawlessly with your iPod, and also gives an independant power supply to the rest of the amplifier, for maximum noise immunity.

With the on-board phono input (moving magnet compatible), you can even connect your turntable and enjoy that unmistakable warmth and lush sound from your cherished LP's.
