Pianocraft CD Receiver unit Yamaha CRX550 is the latest in a long range of Pianocraft systems designed by Yamaha over the past 10 years.

Of course, being a Yamaha system, the most important aspects are the sound quality and features - Yamaha CRX-550 is loaded with features to allow you to listen to your music from CD, radio, DAB radio, USB stick or iPod.

The CD player will play MP3 CD's (compressed music files) and optimise their sound quality with the aid of Yamaha's Compressed Music Enhancer, for open, spacious reproduction. The stereo amplifier has a generous power output of 2 x 32W into 6 ohms, which enables the CRX-550 to play at party levels when required.

The iPod dock has a direct digital transmission of the audio signal, allowing the DAC's within the Yamaha CRX 550 to decode the signal, for better sound quality. For those wanting even more bass output, Yamaha have included a subwoofer output on the rear panel to connect to any active sub on the market.
