By combining traditional and innovative technologies, and including advanced features such as a symmetrical layout, an A.R.T. Wedge foot and an aluminium front panel, every factor that affects sound quality is optimised for superb musical performance.

With nine separate channels plus two bass channels, CINEMA DSP HD3 programmes literally take surround sound to new heights, using the extra channels to create higher and wider sound fields. YPAO automatically sets the system for optimum sound at any of several listening positions. It employs Reflected Sound Control to correct early reflections for studio quality sound.

Yamaha's A.R.T. (Anti-Resonance Technology) Wedge is a fifth foot in the centre of the unit. It dampens vibrations from the power transformer, power transistors and heat sinks, as well as vibrations that might be caused by the sound from the speakers.

Hi-bit high-sampling extension up to 96 kHz / 24-bit can be applied to lossless 44.1/48 kHz content such as from a CD (2-channel PCM) or a FLAC file for further heightening of the musicality in the original content.
